Woods
Wood grading "systems" vary greatly, and while no single system is particularly right or wrong, one man's "3A" is another man's "4A", and one supplier's "5A" may be another supplier's "Master Grade".
I choose to ignore most of this as marketing semantics, and grade my wood according to my own experience.

We, in fact, cut and process most of our own sets from carefully chosen billets, and our clients are usually astounded at the quality of the materials we've used in their guitars for the prices they've paid.

Introducing our Ryan Style beveled arm rest

Over the years, Kevin Ryan has been a good friend and mentor, and I have freely allowed his exemplary style and design sense to influence my own work.
I have a great deal of respect for many modern
builders, but I can think of no living maker for whom I have more.

With Kevin's kind permission and blessings, we now offer our interpretation of his beveled armrest design, and add our own, matching rear bevel as separate, but complimentary, appointments to our guitars.

Armrest bevel $1,000

Rear bevel $1,000

Thank you Kevin, you continue to be a leader in our industry, and a true inspiration.
